Dr. TROUB Skin Returning Cleansing Milk Review: Gentle Enough for Ultra-Sensitive Skin

As someone with extremely sensitive and acne-prone skin, I’ve had more failed cleansing products than I can count. Fragrance in cleansers causes my eyes to puff up, and oils clog my pores or leave residue that triggers breakouts.

So when I found Dr. TROUB Skin Returning Cleansing Milk, I wasn’t expecting much — but I was pleasantly surprised. Here’s my full review based on daily use, especially as a first cleanser in my double cleansing routine.

๐Ÿงด Packaging & First Impression

The product comes in a clean, white pump bottle (200ml) that feels hygienic and easy to use. One pump dispenses a good amount, and the texture is milky and slightly runny, which helps spread easily on dry skin.

๐Ÿ’ง Texture & How to Use

The cleansing milk has a thin, fluid texture that doesn’t feel heavy or oily.
Here's how I use it for Step 1 cleansing (especially when wearing sunscreen or light makeup):

  1. I remove eye and lip makeup first using a separate remover.

  2. Then I wash my hands to avoid spreading bacteria.

  3. With dry hands and dry face, I pump 2–3 full pumps and gently massage it into my skin.

  4. Once fully spread, I wet my hands and roll them gently over my face to emulsify the product.

  5. Finally, I rinse with lukewarm water and move on to my second cleanser.

It rinses off clean without leaving a sticky or greasy film.

✅ Why It Works for Me

  • No fragrance = No allergic reaction around my eyes

  • No stinging or irritation, even during flare-ups

  • Doesn’t trigger my milia or acne breakouts

  • Pairs well with my Dr.G Red Blemish Cleanser for step two

For reference, I also avoid heavy hair treatments and shampoo fragrances because my skin reacts to everything. This cleansing milk fits perfectly into my cautious, minimalist routine.

⚖️ Final Verdict

If you're dealing with:

  • sensitive or allergic skin

  • acne-prone skin that hates oil cleansers

  • or just want a low-fuss, gentle first cleanse,
Dr. TROUB Skin Returning Cleansing Milk is definitely worth a try.

It’s not flashy, but it’s safe, effective, and doesn’t make my skin angry.
And for people like us — that’s all we need.
